Half A Crore for Nitya Menon??

     Looking at the career graph of Nitya Menon, one would put her in the small films’ heroine category. But this Malayalee girl is a pretty sought after star for the small and medium budget films. Many of the younger heroes too are keen on acting with her in at least one film.

     Naturally, she has increased her charges and is now taking nothing less than Rs 50 lakh. Incidentally, not even some medium range heroes get that kind of remuneration. But given the craze for Nitya and her marketability, she is not only demanding, but also getting the price she is demanding.

     If she continues her success streak for at least another couple of films, then it is only a matter of time when she will bag big budget films, say the industry insiders.

Mahesh with Puri

     Puri’s bad phase continues. Only recently, he has said that he will be making a film in a month. But, looks like that dream of his is not going to come true. Mahesh, for whom, he is presently preparing a script is said to be in no mood to act in a film that is made in a rush. So, the rumour is that Mahesh has conveyed the same to Puri. 

     Already, Mahesh is pretty miffed with Puri, given the way Businessman had turned out. At that time, there was talk that the film did not match up to Mahesh’s image and Mahesh too was not happy with the way the film had shaped up. But since it turned out to be a commercial success, Puri was saved.

     Puri usually writes a story in 10 days and wraps up the shooting in 60 days. The result is that his films are flopping in quick succession.  Mahesh is said to have told him that he will not do the film if it has some catchy dialogues and a weak script. It is heard that other heroes too have made similar decisions.

Balayya's new movie's title

     The title of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s new film. Earlier, the film was titled as ‘Ruler’ but many felt it sounds like Balayya’s earlier movie ‘Adhinayakudu’ as per meaning. That film didn’t work so sentiment wise also it may not suit. Then they wanted to add something related to Simha.

     But already we have seen ‘Narasimha Naidu’ ‘Seema Simham’ so even that is not working. But then they thought a title denoting director Boyapati Srinu and Rajamouli combo should be felt. Sources say they looked at ‘Vikramasimha’ = Vikramarkudu+ Simha. But already superstar Rajnikanth’s film is already coming with the same name. So, that also dropped out.

     Sources say now the focus is on ‘Telugodu’. The impact is good but very rustic so it has to be stylish. ‘Andhrudu’ is already taken by Gopichand. Also, they want to avoid the Andhra word in the title. Overall, it should suit Balayya’s political image, at the same time it should be stylish. Looking at all this, it may be that they will put ‘Ruler’ only. Among all the titles mentioned, this is the best option. Let us see what happens.

Allari Naresh's Marriage

     Allari Naresh says the time has come for him to get married. No, he will not marry any girl from the film industry, but an educated and well mannered girl from outside the industry. He says that the time is right for him to get married and he intends to tie the knot by the end of this year.

     His mother and late EVV’s friend and actor Chalapati Rao are said to be busy finding a girl for him. Long ago, one heard of his special friendship with his co-star Farzana. But Naresh insists that she is a good friend and that he will only marry a girl of his mother’s choice.  Well, we wish you all the best Naresh.

Rana is trying for Villian and Character artist

     Daggubati Rana seems to have realized that instead of Hero character, better to do character artist  and Villan character quickly.  Lately, it is being noticed that the towering hunk has been going in for Villain, character artist roles instead of sitting for hero roles.

     Sources say he wants to show his versatility and increase his performance quotient like Prakash Raj. Some are saying maybe Suresh Babu also advised Rana to take this path.  If one can see, Prakash Raj could not click as a hero but as a villain and character artist he has shined very well giving powerhouse performances.

     Currently, Rana is busy with ‘Bahubali’ and ‘Rudramadevi’ wherein both his roles are not the usual lead characters. This change of track will surely put Rana’s career back on success track.

Prince Mahesh Babu Busting It In The Gym

    Mahesh Babu is showing interest for his upcoming project 'One -Nenokkadine'.  Until recently he was training with Hrithik Roshan's trainer, Kris Gethlin and took up the famous DTP challenge. Now the actor has roped in another world renowned fitness trainer, Neil Hill to help him get that dream body.

    "Just finished training my client Mahesh Babu! Super proud how hard he's busting his Ass in the Gym! Great Killer Y3T Leg Workout today!," tweeted Neil Hill.

    In the first week, Focus will be on heavy compound movements with a low-rep range. In the second week, Focus will be on combination of compound and isolation movements with a slightly higher rep range. In the third week, Focus will be on complete muscle failure with lighter weight and a big rep range.

Balupu  Sensational Price for Dil Raju

     After the huge success of the recently released audio, PVP Cinema’s (Ravi Teja)Balupu has generated a huge buzz both in the public and in the industry. Buyers too have started vying to buy the film.

     Whichever movie Dil Raju has promoted has made it big at the Box Office till date. Indeed, he is the man with the midas touch. Now, he has touched upon Balupu. He has picked the movie for a sensational price.

     The news is that Dil Raju has picked up the movie for the Nizam area. A quick glance into the past and it is obvious that Dil Raju has always betted on the winner. So, by buying Balupu, he has indirectly sent out a strong indication that the film has the potential to be a big success. It’s good news for Ravi Teja too, as he is badly in need of a hit.The film is scheduled for release on June 21.

Krishna Vamsi is planning with Pawan Kalyan

     It doesn’t matter how good a director is and what his range is. When it is about doing a film with Pawan Kalyan there are many credentials to be had as a filmmaker. And even Krishna Vamsi is no exception to it. Though Krishna Vamsi is regarded as a celebrated filmmaker, the fact remains that he has been delivering only duds.

     The filmnagar folks are also stating that he has not lost the creative juice but has lost connect with the audience pulse. Anyways, the talk is that Krishna Vamsi is planning to work with Pawan Kalyan but if that has to happen then it depends on the outcome of his ongoing film ‘Paisa’. The film is ready for release barring few patchworks.

     Buzz is that if ‘Paisa’ clicks at the box office then there is a good chance that Krishna Vamsi might be teaming up with Pawan. Though he hails from the school of RGV, Krishna Vamsi is one man who has always believed in giving out social messages, adding family values along with commercial entertainment. Nag missed his mom at Dream Project Launch

Akkineni Nagarjuna missed his late mother Akkineni Annapurna at the launch of his dream project "Manam", which also features his father Akkineni Nageswara Rao and son Akkineni Naga Chaitanya.   "We did a small puja to mark the beginning of our film 'Manam'. (It was) an emotional day for all of us. (I) wish mother was there," posted Nagarjuna on his Twitter page Monday.

Annapurna, who was married to Nageswara Rao for 62 years, passed away in 2011. Annapurna Studios established in 1976, was named after her.  "This will be a dream project for us as it will see our entire family come together and work. I'm really looking forward to work with my father and son," said Nag recently at an event.

"Manam", which will be helmed Vikram Kumar, also features Shirya Saran and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Touted to be a family comedy, shooting of the film will begin from June 7.

It will be produced under Nagarjuna's home banner.

Prince 'Nenokkadine' Story Leaked?

     Prince Mahesh has been busy with the shooting of his new film since quite a while and recently it was titled as ‘Nenokkadine’. Directed by Sukumar, the expectations are high on this one but the slow pace at which it is being shaped up is testing some patience. Anyways, here is an inside talk about the film.

     Many are saying ‘Nenokkadine’ has taken a large part of inspiration from the Bollywood movie ‘Rockstar’ which had Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri in the lead. It is heard that Sukumar has made slight changes to the script but the theme would be more or less the same. ‘Rockstar’ was an intense and emotional love musical.

     And Sukumar is one guy who loves to have that emotional psychological angle on love in all his films. If this news is true then it remains to be seen how fans of Mahesh Babu and the other audience will accept it. Of course, Sukumar had promised that he will show a never-seen before Mahesh Babu so fingers are crossed on this.

Kollywood Focus on Allari Naresh

     Though Allari Naresh deals with only comedy flicks his stature has grown to be a bankable hero and the minimum guarantee that he delivers with his films, the other heroes cannot. Many are now looking at Allari Naresh as the right successor for comedy king Rajendra Prasad. And here is another update.

     It is heard that the Kollywood comedy circuit has begun focusing on Allari Naresh now. One among them is Santhanam who is the number 1 comedian in Tamil. It is heard that Santhanam has been watching a lot of Allari Naresh movies and is concentrating on his earlier hits like ‘Blade Babji’ ‘Aha Naa Pellanta’ and others.

     Well, sources say Santhanam is keen to adopt the films and remake them in Tamil. His aim is to grow as a hero just like Allari Naresh. As of now, Santhanam is doing what Brahmanandam is doing in Tollywood ie working on parallel roles with star heroes. Let us wait to see if he can become the Allari Naresh of Kollywood or not.

One more dialogue From Attarintiki Daaredi?..

     Call it publicity or call it a sneak peek into what his fans can expect, another dialogue from Power star Pawan Kalyan and Samantha’s Attarintiki Daaredi has been leaked.

Samantha: “Nuvvu emoolagaa (diagonal) antoo, ammayilaki edo lecture istavantagaa…?”

Pawan Kalyan: “Adi antha alanti under colour beauties ki bujji, nuvvu etu choosinaa pillodu naasanam.”

Naturally, the fans are mighty thrilled. Earlier, another dialogue was leaked and we had promptly reported the same. Of course, there are already lots of expectations from the film, as it is being directed by Trivikram Srinivas, whose recent hit Julayi had appeased all kinds of audiences.

Puri's Magic With Prince Mahesh

     Director Puri Jagannadh and hero Mahesh Babu will always be spoken about for two of their films ‘Pokiri’ and ‘Businessman’. More than Mahesh, they are vital for Puri because both brought him big name. ‘Pokiri’ was undoubtedly the biggest blockbuster in Tollywood for quite some time before ‘Magadheera’ came in.

     As for ‘Businessman’ although the concept is one sided and dark, as a dialogue writer Puri got very good name. Now, there is another plan that maybe Puri will be teaming up with Mahesh once more and score a hat trick. As such, Puri’s recent venture ‘Iddaramayilatho’ didn’t work as expected.

    Though the openings were good and the film has good chances of making success due to external factors, the Puri mark didn’t work out as expected in the film. Anyways, if Mahesh can squeeze time out from his hectic commitments and gives dates to Puri then maybe we can expect another sizeable success for Tollywood records and Puri can recreate his magic.

Hollywood War Flicks in Gunasekhar  movie?

     From many decades the Indian cinema has been taking its inspiration from Hollywood flicks. For that matter, many other industries across the world take Hollywood as the reference point. But in India especially in Tollywood anything which comes from Hollywood is always received with great regard and success is high.

     This time it is the turn of director Gunasekhar and the talk in filmnagar circles is that he is going to bring Hollywood war films to Tollywood. Apparently, Hollywood has been the home for phenomenal battle flicks like ‘Troy’ ‘300’ ‘King Arthur’ ‘Kingdom Of Heaven’ ‘Alexander’ ‘Braveheart’ etc.

     So, Gunasekhar is going to bring the elements of that genre of Hollywood war flicks through his ambitious venture ‘Rudramadevi’. It is heard that he is slogging a lot and this one will not be like the old Telugu films with selective sword fighting. That logic will not work as action will not be convincing.

     It is heard that the battle sequences in ‘Rudramadevi’ will show strategies and battle formations like an actual war. Gunasekhar has taken it very prestigiously and is reportedly roping in Hollywood stunt masters without any compromise. In films like ‘Rudramadevi’ action plays a very vital role so here’s wishing Gunasekhar all success for his efforts.

Prince Mahesh Nenokkadine Rights At Rs 13 Crore?

     The news is that Gemini TV is in talks with the makers for acquiring the satellite rights for Nenokkadine movie at a whopping Rs 13 crore. Sensational is a small word for the hype that    1-Nenokkadine is creating in the industry. The teaser was released on May 31 and it has already got 6.9 lakh views on YouTube. 

The movie is being produced by Gopichand Achanta, Ram Achanta and Anil Sunkara under the 14 Reels Entertainment. Kriti Sanon will be playing female lead opposite Mahesh Babu.

The film is already creating a huge buzz in the overseas market and the industry is predicting a bigger hit than Dookudu.

Puri Jagannath Tweets Apology To "Pawan Kalyan" Fans

     The dialogue that has infuriated the fans of Pawan Kalyan has further escalated as they have started demonstrating and demanding that Puri Jagannath edit the dialogue from the film.

     Puri Jagannath too seems to be in no mood to take the issue any further. So, he has immediately tweeted to make his intentions clear.

   ‘I am really sorry if the fans of Pawan Kalyan were hurt. After watching that dialogue, Chiranjeevi garu smiled, Allu Arvind enjoyed it and Bunny liked it a lot. It shows that Bunny is a huge fan of Pawan Kalyan. However, if your sentiments are hurt, please forgive me. When I next come to Bheemavaram, receive me with a smile.

 Balayya new Film With Dookudu Makers

     Dookudu makers, 14 Reels Entertainment have finally managed to get Balayya out of his sabbatical and got him to do their next being directed by Boyapati Srinu.  The film has been officially launched today at 12.10 pm.  Varahi Chalana Chitram who produced Eega will be presenting the movie.

    Balayya gave the first shot for the film, while producers Korrapati Sai, Anil Sunkara, Gopi Achanta and Ram Achanta switched on the camera.

     The highlight was that the film was launched in a simple way without much fanfare. But the film’s regular shooting would commence on August 10, when a large number of his fans are expected to come from all over.

Is YVS Focus Shifted on Pawan ??

     YVS is currently making a film with Sai Dharam Tej, which is titled Rey. Incidentally, he is also producing the film. So, of late, one hears about how much YVS Choudhary likes Pawan Kalyan. He has even gone to the extent of saying that after NTR, Pawan is one star who inspired him.

The latest talk in tinsel ville is about how YVS Choudhary has suddenly moved away from the NTR clan and is busy trying to appease the mega family.  It’s a known fact that YVS Choudhary has till date remained a staunch loyalist to NTR’s family. He has said that senior NTR is his inspiration on many occasions.

'Bahubali' First Look

     All are waiting for minute by minute updates on ‘Bahubali’ and now the total focus is on the first look of the film. Recently Mahesh Babu arrived with the teaser of his movie ‘Nenokkadine’ but his first look went pale. As for ‘Bahubali’ the title is Adhurs but it is not sure whether it will be same or changed to ‘Mahabali’.

     Though there are many big budget and big star films in the making, the excitement and anticipation that one film has generated is beyond all the other projects. We are talking about the film ‘Bahubali’ directed by S S Rajamouli and starring Prabhas, Anushka and Daggubati Rana in the lead.

        There is a talk happening about the religious element of Sravana Belgola if ‘Bahubali’ is finanlized. But more than the title issue, the interest is on the first look. The other thing is, Rajamouli films are famous for designer swords. So what designs they will come for the lead cast is also becoming another interesting discussion.

5 Lakh Clicks for "Nenokkadine"

     The teaser of Mahesh’s next has just been released and it is already breaking new records in Tollywood.  When you think Mahesh Babu, you are bound to think huge box-office response and much fanfare. But Mahesh’ movie teasers too are now setting new milestones.

     The teaser of Nenokkadine was released to coincide with superstar Krishna’s birthday on May 31. The teaser has managed to get 5 lakh clicks in the first three days. Now, that surely is a Tollywood record.

     The fans are a tad disappointed as there is no dialogue for Mahesh in the trailer. But the film’s unit is already excited. On the other hand, Mahesh too is said to be a little disappointed with the way the trailer was edited. But with the clicks, looks like he already has a lot to look forward to.

Anushka is not accepting New Scripts

      Now Anushka is very busy with Baahubali.  Well, that is no matter of concern. What is a matter of concern for some who want to make films with her is that she has been very busy shooting for two films – Rani Rudrama and Baahubali – due to which is unable to give them dates. As both the films are being made back to back she is unable to make time for other films.

       Recently, when Sweety was approached for a movie with a top star, she quietly said no, citing date problems.

     However, both Gunasekhar and Rajamouli have suggested that Sweety can manage other films by shooting during gap time. But Anushka is concerned that she may not be able to concentrate properly. Must say, a thorough professional!

Talk about 'Nenokkadine'  

     After a lot of anxiety and waiting, the much talked about title for Mahesh Babu’s film has been announced. This is ‘Nenokkadine’ with a tagline called One. Directed by Sukumar, the film marks the debut of Kriti Sanon as the leading lady. Meanwhile, the first reactions are already flowing in looking at the title.

    Just like how the film has been progressing in a dull manner, some of them feel even the title is looking dull. Few others are saying it has got an old touch and is not very appealing. But Mahesh fans say this is the right title because their star is the number 1 in Tollywood and it will send a strong message to the other star fans.

   Already, Mahesh has done the film ‘Okkadu’ few years ago and scored a big hit. So, some folks are saying that the name sentiment will also work for the new title. Speaking about facts, the film is going at snail pace and no one really knows when Sukumar will wrap it up but thankfully the title release has brought some cheers to Mahesh fans.

Release day collection 'Iddarammayilatho' is Rs. 8.01 Crore

     Allu Arjun-starrer Telugu romantic-thriller “Iddarammayilatho” has raked in Rs.8.01 crore on first day in Andhra Pradesh in the direction of Puri Jagannadh, released on worldwide May 31.

     “The film approximately collected a net share of Rs.8.01 crore in Andhra Pradesh on release day. It has also managed to do good business in rest of the country.

    Reportedly made on a budget of Rs.40 crore, “Iddarammayilatho” also features Catherine Tresa, Amala Paul, Brahmanadam, Nassar, Kaajal Vashisht, Subbaraju and Ali in important roles.

     Produced by Bandla Ganesh, the film is the second collaboration between Puri and Arjun after Telugu blockbuster “Desamuduru”.

Taapsee Kicked Out by Shruti ?

     There are two categories of heroines in Tollywood. The first comprises of those who are beautiful, sexy and also have a good percentage of acting quotient in them. The second category comprises of those who have sex appeal and lust quotient written all over their body so their acting talent and beauty gets overshadowed.

     Taapsee is one such girl who has been ruling the roost by flaunting all possible curves in her body. But now it looks like she is being shown the exit door by another seductive beauty. She is none other than Shruti Haasan. Apparently, Shruti’s sex appeal is increasing day by day and her entry into Tollywood is also becoming deep.

     All these days Taapsee has been banking on that same oomph factor. Even in her last release ‘Shadow’ Taapsee focused completely on her sex appeal. But the cine folks are stating that in front of Shruti’s sex appeal Taapsee might be finding it very difficult to handle the competition. We have to see what measures she takes.

     Prince Mahesh is jubilant about the response he received for his latest film 1's teaser.  The film's first look was released on the occasion of his father, Krishna's birthday. He says that the film, directed by Sukumar, is going to be yet another landmark in his career.

      The trailer has gone viral on the internet and has generating 3,35,000 hits and the numbers are fast rising. The film being directed by Sukumar is billed as a high voltage action entertainer.

     Sharing his feelings on a micro-blogging site, the actor shared, "Thank you so much for your love and support as always. The entire team is working really hard to meet your expectations...will be another landmark film in my career. Overwhelmed with the response of the 1st look and teaser of our film 1."

     Everybody is entitled to have an addiction. Here we are not talking drugs, but about chocolates.  Ileana has addicted to Chocolates.  Not many can resist all those yummy delights out there. And surely, not Ileana. If sources close to her are to be believed, she is one lady who relies on her chocolates to better her mood.

We hear she is always eating chocolates and at least eats one chocolate an hour. Now if you wonder what it does to her calorie count, it seems the Goan beauty is more concerned about her mood swings.

     Siddharth is one happy soul these days. Yes, he has managed to get 6 lakh followers on Twitter. And that is good reason for him to be all smiles. While some tick it off by saying that he is the only actor who spends so much time praising some and deriding some, for him it is a matter of pride if one measures success in terms of their social media presence.

     Earlier, Rana was constantly Twittering. But now, Rana has gone silent and Siddharth is the only hero who religiously Twitters. One only wonders if his Twitter popularity will help his films as he hasn’t had a hit in many days in Telugu.

     Industry insiders, though, feel that he should be concentrating on his films rather than spending the whole day on Twitter. There are others who feel something is better than no following.

Allu Sirish: will he, won't he?

     It is not new for star sons and their kith and kin to make their debut based on the popularity of their dads or uncles. But not everyone makes a successful debut and not all can sustain their career graph.

    Allu Sirish’ debut Gauravam failed to make a mark on the audience. The critics too felt that Sirish did not have the looks to carry off on the big screen. But dad Allu Arvind retorted by saying that Sirish would make a bigger name for himself than his other son Arjun.

   While that remains to be seen, the latest film of Allu Sirish is being directed by Maruti, who is known to make sex-based films. As per Tolly rumour mill, Maruti was making efforts to make a film with Allu Arjun and was working on the plan. But, looks like he has to now suffice with Allu Sirish. As for Sirish, this might just turn out to be his lucky break as Maruti has really worked hard to come up with a good storyline.

Tapsee Awaits The Big Break

She was hailed as the new glamour doll in Tollywood, but poor Tapsee’s career has taken a downward plunge even before it took off.

Recently, she was in Bollywood’s Chasme Baddoor. But that received a lukewarm response. So was the case with all her Telugu films. Though she did six films, none of them helped her get a film with any of the top stars, barring Shadow. Unfortunately for her, that film too bombed at the BO.

For now, Tapsee has just one film with Gopichand on the floors. But Gopichand himself hasn’t had a hit in a long time.

The Tollywood biggies feel Tapsee needs to polish her acting skills and not concentrate only on just her looks. If her film with Gopichand turns out be a hit, she is one girl who could shoot up to the number one slot, feel many industry insiders.

Is Puri too costly for Tollywood?

Well, he’s got a whopping Rs 8 crore from producer Bandla Ganesh to make Iddarammayilatho.

Unfortunately for him, all his films in recent times have not done well at the box office. Devudu Chesina Manushulu, Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu and now Iddarammayilatho haven’t done much to increase his credibility. Neither are there any producers who would like to shell out such a huge amount to him.

Usually, as a norm, Puri tries to finish off work on one film, starts the promotion and then gets on to another film. That has been his habit all along, but after Iddarammayilatho, he has no films on hand in Tollywood.

So, it is likely that he will now go to Bollywood. He has been planning to remake Idiot in Hindi for a long time. Once he has a hit in Bollywood, he can always come back to Tollywood with a successful film in his kitty!

Pawan to change Attarintiki Daaredi?

     Attarintiki Daaredi is said to be the title of Pawan Kalyan’s forthcoming film. Samantha who plays the female lead too has confirmed this and listed it out among her films. But now the rumour mill is rife that the title might be changed as Pawan is not totally convinced with it. While some people in the industry have liked the title, others feel a better title would do justice to Pawan Kalyan.

     The title character in the movie is called Siddharth. Now there are rumours that the title could be changed to Siddharth, as it would appeal to both the masses and the class audience.

     Earlier, his role as Siddu or Siddharth Roy in Khushi is still fresh in the memories of his fans. Pawan too is heard to be sentimental about the name. So, don’t be surprised if the title is changed to Siddharth!

Allu Arvind Makes 4 Crore Film for his Son Sirish

     One needs to learn a lesson or two from ace producer Allu Arvind. After being in the industry for so long, he is very clear where his priorities lie.

    Recently, Allu Sirish and Regina starrer Kotha Janta went on the floors. The film is being directed by Maruti and it is being presented by Allu Arvind. But papa is in no rush to invest without considering the hero’s marketability and the director’s creativity.

     Apparently, he has allotted a Rs 4 crore-budget for his youngest son’s next. The only condition was that the film be completed at the earliest.

Balayya's Ruler Muhurat On June 3

     Once again, Balayya will pair up with a Bollywood heroine in his forthcoming film titled Ruler.  Of late, Balakrishna has been busy with his political agenda and hasn’t given his nod for a film after Srimannarayana.

     Now, nearly a year after the film’s release, he will begin shooting for Ruler, to be directed by Boyapati. The film will be formally launched on June 3. Well, like most of Balayya’s films, he gets to romance with two heroines in this one too.

   As per the director, our hero will sport a slim and trim in the flick which got shades of politics but happens to be a family entertainer.
